Prostate Cancer
Monday 16th February 2009
35000 men in the UK are diagnosed with Prostate Cancer every year and more than 9000 die from it. Prostate Cancer is now the most common cancer in men and mainly affects older men over the age of fifty.
Although the causes of prostate cancer are not fully understood it has been associated with diet. Men who consume a high fat, high meat low vegetable diet are considered to be at a higher risk of contracting the disease than those who consume a more stable diet.
If there is a strong family history of Prostate Cancer the risks of contracting it are significantly higher.
